This means financial assistance will be available for eligible homeowners and individuals living in Orange and Caledonia counties. Other counties that were impacted are still being assessed by FEMA. The full list of counties eligible is now: Caledonia, Chittenden, Lamoille, Orange, Rutland, Washington, Windham, and Windsor Counties. The availability of assistance will be dependent on the specifics of your situation. The types of assistance include: For financial assistance for underinsured/uninsured losses, the Individuals and Households Program can assist with home repairs and rental costs if you need to leave your home.For replacing essential furnishings and personal belongings, the Other Needs Assistance Program can help cover costs.This federal assistance is unlikely to compensate you for the entirety of your losses and is not a substitute for private insurance.
